Here are some of the latest things I've been up to!

I know I seemed to play hide and seek on here a lot. I'm not the most avid blogger, but I do love to share. I know that it's already past Valentines and I slept through sharing what I did for that somehow, but these items would be perfect for anytime you want to show someone you care. :)

When Target had there Valentine's stuff I wanted it all! I decided though it would be best if I would take their ideas and use them as inspiration to create my own decorations. So I cut out hearts, sewed them, stuffed them and strung them to make a banner. I also realized I didn't buy V-day cards. I bought a pack of blank ones at Michaels and let my creative juices flow. I places a "love" bunting banner one each one, but then drew a special drawing for each one. For some reason I didn't take pictured of the drawing though. I bought candy bags for everyone ( even the dogs). :) They had mini chocolate bars and conversation hearts in them. For some reason I always feel like I never did enough so I bought the truffle kits that Target were selling and made those. I would like to say it was money well spent because everyone loved them. Now I never like to leave anyone out. Even if there is something special about them that might make my job a little more of a roller coaster. My niece is special needs and can't really experience some of those things, but I wanted to give her something too. I made her homemade vanilla and chocolate pudding and added sprinkles! I just have to say though that I love etsy.com and it's ability to bring all those talented people out during those special times of year. I would rather wait and give a gift semi late knowing that it was handmade and truly unique. My husband is totally into the Grumpy Cat right now and I just happened to find a lady who makes Grumpy Cat cookies! He loved them and they honestly tasted way better then the one's we got at a bakery here in town! Here is her shop if you want to check it out http://www.etsy.com/shop/whippedbakeshop .

Other things that have happened lately here was we had a snow day! I know for some on the east coast this is no big thing, but I live in Arizona and it is such a rarity. Lets just say I was so excited that I ran out in my short to play in the snow! I know that sounds crazy, but it really wasn't that bad and it was so amazing! :)

Also recently I got to go to my first Boston Celtic's game! I wish it had been in Boston, but that's clear on the other side so I settled for the one in Phoenix. It was an amazing game and I cannot wait to go to my next one! I was a little bummed that they had Kevin Garnett take the night off, but that's life.
Finally while on this journey I learned how to crochet as well as knit! Our little home has needed some brushing up and sometimes home decor can be so expensive! I decided to take an old couch pillow and use it's stuffing to make a new one. Not bad I don't think for my first crochet project. :) I also dyed our lampshade red. It's dried now to more of a coral. To dye your own lampshade just use Rit Dye and follow the instructions on the box. I would suggest setting up and area that can be cleaned up easily. The dye will photos in. I was actually having a hard time finding decent 5x7 frames for a reasonable price. Two frames cost me $4  at Michael's and I just used the paint I had at home. If your a crafter like me you'll probably have something lying around that you can use. If not paint isn't too expensive at the craft store and there are tons of colors to choose from.
